Scuba Diving - My Love and Passion
I remember looking at a dive magazine
at work many many
years back and a colleague who was a scuba diver started telling me about
his scuba diving experiences. I showed an interest in what he was talking
about and he gave me a few books on the subject. I became so keen and
mesmerized by the imagination of the beautiful sandy beaches and underwater
world. Whether my girlfriend or grandmother consented to it or not! I got
together with three others yet to be scuba diving maniac and signed on to a
what we called then, a "Sports Diver" course.
Well, times really fly and that was
fifteen years ago that I became certified and I had discovered diving to be
the medium to access a gateway to another dimension where no body rules the
world. Welcome to the sound of silent.
We have enjoyed scuba diving so much that we tell ourselves,
"Have Breath Will Dive"
and diving in
our blood. All diving buddies agreed that they will stop this activity only
when they can breathe no more. It wasn't enough just to have pictures taken
for the memories of underwater world of beauty. This underwater realm is
truly magnificent, the beauty and diversification of its creatures, the
splendid colours of the various fishes and the beautiful coral gardens.
Mother nature has outdone herself and created a magical paradise. I feel
privileged and honoured every time I visited this spectacular scenery.
I hope that future generations will be able to see what we
have seen and embraced and protect this magnificent eco-system. We are
fortunate to have this wonderful creation within our reached. When I grow
old someday, I will have my wonderful memories and photos to show the
younger generation and explained to them that they are the keepers and
protectors of this beautiful place.
